MY SITE IS LIVE

MY SITE IS LIVE!!!!

Finally, after much battling with the FTP upload option, the video files I have ready, and a load of other things, I have been able to publish my own website onto my go daddy domain!

Advice for anyone who wants to embed videos into their site using Muse:
1) Make sure that the server you're launching this site through does not have a limit on how large each video can be; my go daddy domain/account has a limit of 150 MB/video. So now I have to go through and condense the ones that are slightly too large.
2) Make sure your code is sourcing the right folder. So much time was wasted because my code was looking for a folder "videos" when it should have been sourcing the videos from "assets"... Silly mistake I know, but double check that!!!
3) Don't forget the username/passwords to any of your accounts... write it down. I spent a good 95% of my time changing my password because I forgot mine.

But anyway, if anyone is interested, please click on the link below!

Meh, there's still some things that need to be fixed probably (finish certain projects, replace the "video under construction" sign with my actual video, etc.) but most of my work is up!

Updates on stuff

So not much activity in the past week, I've been very lazy about working on personal projects; hopefully the nearly three hours I've waited for a job interview at Nordstroms will pay off!
But anyway, here's what I have so far:

Pig-Fly is finally finished!
I might do some other motion sketches in the op left and bottom right corners to fill up the blank space.

Website is... DONE! After doing some tests on both the Mac and PC platforms (very frustrating how neither looks exactly the same!) I'm ready to launch! But I just need to get a domain (go daddy looks promising, and particularly cheap! 100GB for $4/month essentially!), and then of course there are the little things that I want to add/change, but I won't be able to do that until I generate more content, so might as well launch what I do have.

And the HurshH model is still in progress. I'm about to tackle retopologizing the sculpt, and modeling some of the other assets to the Thunder God. I absolutely hate retopology... but I'm having the most trouble with his face, cause most of his features are covered either by his beard or his helmet.

On a more personal update: my family is moving! Just ten minutes away, in Issaquah. We're moving into a small, condo-like home that's really quite charming. Pictures to come hopefully, it'll be a tough move because we're going to have to downsize A LOT. Won't be too bad for me since most of my belongings are being stored in my boyfriend's spare closet up at school, but a lot of furniture is going into storage. And I'm not looking forward to moving furniture up a very narrow set of stairs.

New Project

So I'm doing this extra project over the summer with my two very good friends Cassie and Rachel, both fellow VTD majors! We're working with HurshH, who is a youtuber that has a blog dedicated to all things Castle Crash, and we're making an intro for his channel!

He said he was interested in having characters from the game (with permission from IGG Games of course) as a part of his intro! We're each going to model characters and assets from the game! Cassie is modeling the Champion, Rachel the Spirit Mage, and I'm modeling the Thunder God! We've a rough storyboard which I'm editing right now, and I've started sculpting the Thunder god! Here's what I have!

Thunder God from Castle Clash.

I've only sculpted the shoulders, arms, and torso. Haven't touched the face or neck yet. That'll be for tomorrow.

Very excited to see the finished character!

Thanks!

Working on official website...

...is hard. Very hard.

Some of my progress:

Making it in Muse. Hopefully the site will go live in a few weeks.

Rock Texture practice

Not quite sure what the middle one is, just a doodle I did this morning that I had liked.

But on a completely unrelated note, so excited I get to go visit one of my best friends Cassie next week in PORTLAND! I absolutely love Portland!

Also: I found a tutorial to make the rock texture, It was really helpful! Check it out!

Something I did for my sorority a while back

So really quick: I'm a part of the Delta Zeta Chapter at the University of Idaho, and we recently celebrated our Ground Breaking Ceremony for our house that should be completed in Fall of 2015! I made the formal invitations and the program for the events, and thought I should post them.

The jpeg and final version. We got the card stock from Michaels in the Wedding section. So pissed off the lady at Office Depot doesn't know how to resize an image...
Also, the Fonts, and the graphics for this were found from a wedding blog, the template was free! I' I can find it again I will post it and give them the credit.

The Program of Events front and back!

Cassie, Kelsey Nash, and I at our groundbreaking ceremony! All the lovely VTD ladies!!!

That's it! Thanks!
